Drama
A Drama Team has formed at Valley Church. As of February 2008, twenty folk of all ages from 10 to 69 have signed up to participate in some way. The Team will be doing dramatic readings, sketches, scripture interpretation, mime, tableau and longer works. Team members are involved as actors, directors, producing sets, costumes, choreography, gathering props, sound and lighting.
If you would like to participate in some manner, in front of the curtain or behind (we need both), Contact Dave Ruder who is serving as the Drama Coordinator. We need lots of help. There is a place for you, whether experienced or not.
Why drama?
- It reaches our generation, nuts about movies, television and live theatre.
- It's more than entertainment.
- It penetrates out defenses, opening us to teaching and enlightenment.
- It reflects the real world we live in.
- In raises questions and issues without preaching or relying on simplistic solutions or pat answers.
- It touches our hearts, stirs our memories, probes our psyches, and exposes our pain.
