"Imitating the Son - Putting on the Armor"

Yesterday morning I mentioned that we have set aside this Tuesday evening from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Campus Center to pray!   I read these words from Joel 2:15-17 during my quiet time today.

     "Blow the trumpet in Jerusalem!  Announce a time of fasting; call the people
     together for a solemn meeting.  Bring everyone the elders, the children, and
     even the babies. Call the bridegroom from his quarters and the bride from her
     private room.  The priests, who minister in the LORD's presence, will stand
     between the people and the altar, weeping. Let them pray, "Spare your people,
     LORD!  They belong to you, so don't let them become an object of mockery. Don't
     let their name become a proverb of unbelieving foreigners who say, Where is the
     God of Israel?  He must be helpless!' "

Our God certainly isn't helpless!  He and He alone is a very present help in time of trouble.  We need to call! 

We were reminded yesterday that our battle is not against flesh and blood!  "It is against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."  I hope your armor is in place!

We are calling you to join us tomorrow night [Tuesday Aug 6:30pm] to pray!  We are announcing that we are going to seek the Lord.  We invite you to fast.  We are summoning you to tarry for one hour!
