1. Is your love fake or real? v. 9
   
   • God’s love for us gives us the motivation to love others! Rom. 5:8
   • God’s love in us gives us the resource to love others! Rom. 5:5
   • God’s love through us gives us the way to love others! Rom. 12:10
   • Love is not only possible it is commanded! John 13:34-35
   • Love has no ulterior motives! Rom. 12:9
   • God’s mercies satisfy thus there is no need to crave the approval of others. Gal. 1:10
     
2. Are you dating evil or married to good? v. 9
   
   • Don’t be deceived by phony imitations! 1 John 2:15-17
   • The world, the flesh and the devil encourage flirting without any hint of consequences! James 1:13-16
   • A passion for purity is a decision, is developed and followed by daily choices. Gen. 39:9; Prov. 9:10
   • You are either polluting or purifying your mind! Phil. 4:6-10; Eph. 5:26

3. Are you selfish or selfless?
   
   • Sacrifice is the normal Christian life! 1 John 3:16-19; Phil. 2:5-11
   • Love doesn’t seek it’s own! 1 Cor. 13:5
   • Isolation will leave you overexposed and under developed! Heb. 10:24-25
     
4. Are you burnt out or burning? v. 11
   
   • Stay in the word, on your knees and with God’s people! Heb. 10:24-25

5. Are you giving in or holding fast? v. 12
   
   • Christ is our only hope now and forever! Col. 1:27;

   • Tribulations drive us to our knees! 1 Thess. 5:17
     
6. Are your heart, hand and home closed or open? v. 13
   
   • Love expresses itself by meeting the needs of others through giving and generosity! Gal. 6:10; 1 John 3:17; Heb. 13:16; Phil. 4:14-19
