A predicted day! v. 1

“Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, cruel, with fury and burning with anger, to make the lad a desolation and He will exterminate its sinners from it.” Isaiah 13:9

A fixed day! v. 2

“Because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the secrets in righteousness through a man whom He appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:31

A sudden day! v. 2

“Until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away, so shall the coming of the Son of man be.” Matt. 24:39

An inescapable day! v. 3

“See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. or if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.” Heb. 12:25

A terrible day! v. 9

“Dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.” 2 Thess. 1:8-9

A blessed day! v. 9

“Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.” Titus 2:13

A moving and transformational day! 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Phil. 3:20-21

“”For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.” 1 Thess. 4:14

A rewarding day! Rev. 22:12

How then shall we live?
