Handbells
Valley Church is blessed with two superb handbell ensembles. Take a look at this photo collection from the 2010 Spring Ring, and this one from the 2011 Spring Ring, held at Valley Church. Dave and Dian Ruder host this major area handbell event.
Valley Vibrations - Sundays 5-6pm - choir room
Valley Vibrations is a youth worship team of handbell
ringers.
Three age groups are second-third grade,
fourth-sixth grade, and older youth.
The Vibrations gain experience in music reading,
mental-physical coordination and teamwork,
participating in worship in the church services,
at convalescent hospitals and other places.
These snapshots from a rehearsal show students practicing rhythm by clapping, learning the "singing bell" technique, and practicing as a group.
Valley Ringers - Tuesdays 7:15pm
Valley Ringers is worship team of experienced handbell ringers, high school through adult. Beginners are accepted as interns who read music and are willing to learn. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn a unique skill from extroardinarily qualified leaders, and to put it into practice in a worship service.
