Knowing -- Photography Team

The photography team uses photography as a tool to enhance the ministries of Valley Church. The major emphases have been to enrich the student and parent experience at VBS; to represent Valley on this website for our own church family, and so the community can better see what Valley Church is like; and to provide scenic backdrops for the information and music visuals for worship services. Our work can be found at various places on this site.

We take great care that photographs of our people are not shown on our website without their express consent. We have permission forms for adults and for children. A prevailing legal posture is that permission is not required for a public venue. We prefer a more conservative approach. If you photograph a group for our website, explicitly state the intent to use it there, and ask people to be in the photo ONLY if they consent to that use. For children, we insist on written permission from their parent or guardian.

We also hope to assemble photos and short video interviews to offer to website visitors a friendly and meaningful glimpse into the character of Valley Church. We have many sub-congregations with a lot to offer to our neighborhood. But the neighborhood has no way of knowing this without taking the intimidating step into the unknown to visit our campus, and hope to find someone who knows about what they seek and how to direct them. A website does that quite well, and it's where today's generation looks. Let's provide it.
