John Mack

Family and Background:

I was born and raised in Sunnyvale, and grew up in church. I went to The King's Academy for junior high through high school, and during my freshmen year, a couple friends introduced me to the high school group at Valley. I began going to the high school group every week, and soon after I started consistently coming to the Sunday morning worship services.

Ministry role at Valley:

During my first year of college, I joined the college group worship band as a singer. Soon after, I taught myself to play acoustic guitar so that I would be able to play an instrument while leading worship. Later, I was invited to lead worship in the main service on Sundays and have been playing occasionally since then. I also serve as a leader in the high school group.

Current occupation and interest:

I am a senior at San Jose State University studying undergraduate Kinesiology. In addition to being a full-time student, I work part-time as a strength and conditioning trainer at Extreme Fitness and Sports in Campbell, where I work primarily with high school students.

Testimony:

I grew up as a Christian and made an early decision to follow Christ. As I've gotten older though, I have grown in my conviction to follow Christ and serve him willingly and whole-heartedly.
