Family and Background:
I was born in Tallinn, Estonia in Northern Europe. Spent my childhood in Soviet Union and witnessed the Singing Revolution of 1991 with tanks on the streets and hopes of freedom. That same time I entered the one and only Bible School in the country at that time. Most of my relatives are Christian believers and their life has been a great inspiration to me -- especially considering that being a believer meant systematic persecution by the government. Still, their natural joy and confidence in God kept them growing deeper in Christ, and now a new, even larger generation of their own children is working in that small country. I live with my husband Voldemar and two daughters in Mountain View, homeschooling our children and hoping to teach them to never forget His goodness.
Ministry role at Valley and current interest:
I am singing in Valley Church Worship Team since 2009. I also love to learn about Christian Science, philosophy, and God's Word, hoping to be used by God in people's lives in both USA and in Estonia.
Testimony: I was a prideful rebel, until at 16 yrs old, God touched me. It was dark late night in my grandfather's town (where he was pastoring a local church), when I walked home and suddenly an all-soaking rain hit the ground and me on it - with a strong thunderstorm. I happened to be on the top of a bridge and stopped, to see the shocking power of the event - and a moment later I finally realized how very powerless I really am. I was stricken by something much bigger than I'd ever knew... And there I knew it - that I've gotten all wrong in my own "wisdom", pride and stubbornness, that I had wronged God, the Creator. Minutes later I prayed at the same spot, asking forgiveness, and to be able to get to know and honor Him. He answered, and that's still the most important night of my life. We worked helping the pastor of our Church and home-group leaders together with my husband ever since. I also served as a worship leader of the church. The walk with God has only gotten brighter, just like His Word promises, and has never been boring, since He truly is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. :)
