Susan Tasker Van Den Broeke

Background/Family Info:

Born, raised and currently reside in Sunnyvale, CA. Married to my high school sweetie, +30 years now.

We have three adult children and our first grandchild coming in May, 2011.

Ministry role at Valley:

Currently serving on the worship vocal team, helping with decorations/aesthetics for the worship center and participating on short term missions trips.

Current occupation and interests:

Returned to homemaker status (which means I wear many hats) after 10 plus years as office staff, administrative assistant. Beyond my devotion for studying God's Word, I enjoy gardening, writing poetry and stories, and hanging with the family and friends.

Testimony:

Raised in a dysfunctional family environment with all the problems that go along with abuse on various levels, I came to faith in Christ Jesus as a young mother when I began repeating my parents' mistakes and had no power to stop or change. Jesus has given me courage to face myself, the scars and hurts from my past, and the power to overcome my sins. I live, trusting in God's plans for the life He has given me.
