AWANA
Ever wonder what Awana stands for? Well, it means Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. And that's the motto that drives this extremely dynamic, fun and eventful program that meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm during the school year. More than 300 kids participate in Awana each week at Valley Church. From Cubbies to Varsity, the kids in this program are learning not only Scripture, but also how to act and live for Christ in a fallen world.
Awana Club meetings are brimming with life-enriching experiences for young people! Trained leaders guide children through age-appropriate material. Clubbers learn that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. They also learn how to apply the truths of the Bible to their daily lives. In a world desperate for high standards of morality and ethics, Awana uses the Bible to teach children to honor God, country, and others around them. That why each week nearly 1.5 million boys and girls attend an Awana club in 115 countries all over the world.
